Tishrei: The 7th Month

The Feast of Trumpets, also known as Yom Teruah, is a biblical holiday that falls on the first day of the seventh Hebrew month of Tishri, it is the seventh month in the biblical religious calendar, beginning with Nisan. Rosh Hashana begins the 10 days between the Jewish new year and Yom Kippur.

- Rosh Hashanah (Tishrei 1–2): The Jewish New Year and the Day of Judgment, marked by blowing the shofar (ram's horn).
- Yom Kippur (Tishrei 10): The Day of Atonement, the holiest day of the year, observed with a 24-hour fast and intensive prayer.
- Sukkot (Tishrei 15–21): The Feast of Tabernacles, a joyous week-long festival of dwelling in temporary booths (sukkah).
- Shmini Atzeret (Tishrei 22): The "Eighth Day of Assembly" immediately following Sukkot.
- Simchat Torah (Tishrei 23): The celebration marking the completion and restarting of the annual Torah reading cycle.
